In the previous decades, most of the agricultural tasks were performed manually . Most of the essential jobs like preparation of field, sowing of seeds, irrigation, harvesting were performed by mankind and animals . This processes consumed lots of labour & time. Also the yields were not desirable. 

After application of these technologies, these processes becomes less labour consuming . Most of the work is performed by using machines. This not only makes the process faster but also makes it more economical.

Ninjacart founded by Thirukumaran Nagarajan in 2015. It is India’s Largest agri marketing platform, solving one of the toughest supply chain problems. They connect vegetables and fruits farmers directly with businesses. 
Ninjacart has raised a total of $49.5M in funding over 5 rounds. Their latest funding was raised on Dec 12, 2018 from a Series B round.The startup has been funded by Accel Partners, Nandan Nilekani, Mistletoe(Japan) , Qualcomm Ventures, Syngenta.

#2   WAYCOOL

Waycool founded by Karthik jayaraman along with Sanjay Dasari in 2015.
Waycool procures fruits and vegetables from small farmers and aggregators and sells through multiple distribution channels including local shops, retail outlets, hotels, restaurants and catering establishments.

Waycool has raised a total of $19.6M in funding over 2 rounds. Their latest funding was raised on Jan 15, 2019 from a Venture - Series Unknown round.
The investors are LGT impact venture, caspian impact investment, Northern arc, Aspada.

#3  AGROSTAR

AgroStar founded by 
Shardul sheth with Sitanshu sheth in 2013.
AgroStar solves the traditional farmer problems faced around duplication, adulteration and product unavailability by making a wide range of great quality products available to the farmer through a simple missed call!

Agrostar has raised a total of $14M in funding over 2 rounds. Their latest funding was raised on Mar 7, 2017 from a Series B round.

The startup has been funded by Chiratae Ventures,  Aavishkaar venture capital, Accel partners.

#4   CROPIN

Cropln founded by Krishna kumar in 2010.
CropIn is an intuitive, intelligent, self-evolving system that delivers future-ready farming solutions to the entire agricultural sector. With capabilities of live reporting, analysis, interpretation and insight that span across geographies,they digitized ever farm, while data-managing the entire ecosystem. 

CropIn Technologies has raised a total of $11.7M in funding over 6 rounds. Their latest funding was raised on Nov 19, 2018 from a Series B round.
The investors are Chiratae Ventures, Bill & Melinda gates foundation, Ankur capital, BEENEXT, Sophia investment Aps, Invested development.

#5    EM3  AGRISERVICE

The startup has been founded by the Airtel CEO Rohtash mal with Adwitya mal in 2014.
Samadhan - FaaS (Farming as a Service) creates a platform that enables technology to reach the farmer and the farm in an efficient and affordable manner .

The major investors for this startup are Global investment fund, Aspada investment, Doors development fund. Recently they have got $10M series B funding from GIF.

#6   FARMTAAZA

The startup was founded by Kumar Ramachandran in 2015.
It is a B2B(Business to business)entity who procures directly from the source or farmers after grading, sorting and sells them to sellers, restaurants, institutions.

FarmTaaza has raised a total of $8M in funding over 2 rounds. Their latest funding was raised on Nov 1, 2018 from a Series Around.
The investors of Farmtaaza are Musaab hakami, Tara Indian fund iv , Epsilon venture partner, IL & FS investment manager.
